6 months after fracturing my femoral head at a rac $6 months after fracturing my femoral head at a race, today I finally got the all clear from my consultant to ditch the crutches and start rehab proper. It has been, and will continue to be, a long journey. I am so thankful to my amazing clients for their patience and understanding during this time. I have learnt a lot about patience, discipline, mindset, resilience and finding the positives. I have also learnt that I hate swimming. Really a lot... But that's where the discipline kicks in, it needed doing so it got done. I hope that I can carry some of what I have learnt through to my coaching - that clients current and new will recognise that injuries may happen, but they can be worked through, we can come back stronger and there is great stuff to look forward to at the other side. I know I have a long way to go and that the way I train in the future will look different, but I'm looking forward to the challenge.
